Treasurer / Trustee

We are currently looking to appoint a new trustee with suitable financial qualifications and/or experience of business book keeping to take on the role of treasurer. This is a voluntary role that involves maintaining a record of the organisation's finances, administering payroll and reporting on financial matters to the Trustees. The role also involves membership of the Board of Directors. Other specific responsibilities are:

  • Liaising with the external accountants and ensuring all necessary information and documents are provided to allow them to prepare Annual Accounts and Returns.
  • Based on accounts prepared by the external accountant, preparing and presenting a financial statement at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
  • Ensuring that the group has an appropriate reserves and investment policies.
  • Making annual financial filings to Companies House and Charity Commission.
