Our Facilities

We started our journey at Hollesley in the east of Suffolk and were known as the RDA Hollesley Group. We moved to Sutton in 1993. At the time we offered both riding and carriage driving.

In 2017 we moved to The Bays, Clopton, our current home. This move allowed us to develop a custom-built centre with facilities that include a 40 x 20 indoor school, 12 purpose built stables, a carriage barn, a horse walker, under cover tacking up area and community room.

With the development of our new site came the opportunity to expand what we can offer. We also offer our indoor school and facilities for hire when it’s not being used by our Group.

Our community room has a glass viewing area to the indoor school and has tea and coffee making facilities and a comfortable place for parents, carers, volunteers, and staff to meet and chat.

If you’d like to know more about us, our coaches, our team, our horses and our Trustees then go to About Us.

You can find out more about our services and how to hire our arena on our What we do section.

Getting Involved

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our Group. We have over 100 volunteers and more are always welcome. Our volunteers perform a variety of roles across all our services from preparing our horses for riding or carriage driving, leading in a lesson, cycling with a carriage to helping with maintenance, helping out on the yard - mucking out, filling hay nets, and making sure the yard is clean, safe and tidy, administration and social media.

If you have the time, we’d love to find you a role that you’ll enjoy. You’ll find more information on our Volunteering with us pages.

Our Group is entirely funded from donations, grants and fundraising activities and we are extremely grateful to all our wonderful fund raisers, supporters, grant providers, sponsors and Patrons.

There are other ways of supporting us by sponsoring one of our horses or ponies or by leaving a legacy in your will. For more information on how you can help us to continue to provide opportunities to over 165 children and adults in Suffolk then go to the Support Us pages.

We know that people like to see our horses and our activities, and we keep our gallery pages and social media up to date with photos. Please do take a look.

To help with raising our profile and supporting grants and fundraising we always welcome interest from the media. You can find information about our events and latest news in that section.

We’d love to hear from you. Please find our contact details and how to get to our Group in the contact us pages.
