What We Offer

Our mission is that anyone in Suffolk living with physical or learning disability; social, emotional and mental health difficulties or long-term health conditions can have access to therapeutic equine activities to benefit their health and well-being, keep active and experience that unique bond between human and horse.

Our Facilities

Our Group, then known as the RDA Hollesley moved to our current home, The Bays, Clopton, in 2017. This move allowed us to develop a custom-built centre with facilities that include a 40 x 20 indoor school, 12 purpose built stables, a carriage barn, a horse walker, under cover tacking up area and community room.

With the development of our new site came the opportunity to expand what we can offer. Our most recent addition is our superbly equipped vaulting barn. 

Our community room has a glass viewing area to the indoor school, a quiet room / classroom, and has tea and coffee making facilities and a comfortable place for parents, carers, volunteers, and staff to meet and chat.

We also offer our indoor school and facilities for private use when it’s not being used by our Group.

Getting Involved

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our Group. We have over 100 volunteers and more are always welcome. Our volunteers perform a variety of roles across all our services from preparing our horses for riding or carriage driving, leading in a lesson, cycling with a carriage to helping with maintenance, helping out on the yard - mucking out, filling hay nets, and making sure the yard is clean, safe and tidy, administration and social media.

Our Group is entirely funded from donations, grants and fundraising activities and we are extremely grateful to all our wonderful fund raisers, supporters, grant providers, sponsors and patrons.

There are other ways of supporting us by sponsoring one of our horses or ponies, running a fundraising event, or making a donation or by leaving a legacy in your will.
