Every Pound Helps Care for Our Horses

At RDA Woodbridge, our horses are at the very heart of everything we do. They provide life-changing experiences for our riders, helping people of all ages and abilities build confidence, improve physical wellbeing and enjoy the unique partnership that only horses can offer. 

To ensure our horses remain healthy, happy and are able to continue their valuable work, they require expert care every single day. While our wonderful volunteers generously give their time, the ongoing costs of caring for our horses are significant.

During the last financial year, the essential costs of caring for our herd of 15 horses included:

Farrier: £6,000
Veterinary, Dental & Physiotherapy: £10,450
Feed: £3,350
Hay: £7,750
Bedding: £2,000
Total annual horse care costs: £29,550

These figures cover only the everyday essentials that keep our horses comfortable, healthy and ready to support our riders. They do not include other important expenses such as tack, rugs, insurance, field and arena maintenance, transport, equipment replacement or the upkeep of our facilities.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps us continue providing the highest standard of care for our horses. Whether your gift helps buy a bale of hay, contributes towards a farrier visit, or supports vital veterinary treatment, it makes a real difference.

Our horses give so much to the people who ride with us. With your support, we can ensure they receive the care they deserve and continue changing lives for many years to come.

Whether you already have a favourite or would like to choose one from our wonderful herd, sponsoring a horse or pony is a fantastic way to support our ongoing care and help us continue changing lives. We suggest a sponsorship donation of £20 per year, or you can make an even bigger difference by becoming a regular supporter with a monthly standing order.

As a sponsor, you'll receive:
* A welcome letter from your chosen horse or pony
* A photograph of your special horse or pony
* Our annual newsletter, keeping you up to date with everything happening at the group
* An invitation to one of our Open Days, where you can meet your sponsored horse or pony and have your photograph taken together

Horse sponsorship also makes a thoughtful and unusual gift for a child, friend or loved one.

How to Sponsor
The quickest and easiest way to sponsor your favourite horse or pony is by completing our online sponsorship form:

If you prefer,  you can download and complete an application form and post it to the address given on the form. The easiest way to make your payment is via bank transfer (all the necessary details are in the application form), alternatively, cheques may be sent, along with the completed form, to the address given in the form.

Make Your Gift Go Further with Gift Aid
Are you a UK taxpayer? If you're a UK taxpayer, you can increase the value of your sponsorship by 25p for every £1 you donate through Gift Aid, at no extra cost to you. Simply tick the Gift Aid declaration on the sponsorship form, and we'll reclaim the tax from HM Revenue & Customs, helping your donation go even further in supporting our horses and ponies.
